Lunga District was created by the Presidential declaration made on 8th December, 2011 detaching it from Samfya, the then parent district where it belonged as a constituency called Luapula and had a sub-boma for Samfya District. In the mid-2012, Government through then the Ministry of Local Government and Housing established Lunga District.Readmore
